Check it out here. I know a few folks were disappointed in it, & while it’s obviously not touching the 1st 2 Young Bleed records, I thought it was a surprisingly consistent LP.
Also shouts to former Tribune writer Soren Baker who apparently, no joke, wrote a book called “The Making of Young Bleed’s Preserved.”
It’s not like I dislike the rest of the record, it’s just that the stand out cuts are so good that I have difficulty listening beyond them.
As well as Curren$y, I also think Bleed’s style is a huge influence on that other CMR Records ex-pat All $tar/$tarlito. The flow he’s been using from the Renaissance Gangsta ‘tape onwards is total Bleed.
